Lord Mayor Officially Opens Santa’s Magical Grotto At Liverpool Town Hall
Lord Mayor, Councillor Roz Gladden, officially opened Santa’s Magical Grotto at Liverpool Town Hall today!
Santa recruited a handful of elves from Liverpool Theatre School to show members of the press and officials around his enchanting grotto before it opens to the public tomorrow, Saturday 26th November.
After a number of years at St George’s Hall, Santa decided to have a change of scene for Christmas 2016 and has set up his new Grotto in the grand setting of the city’s Town Hall.
He is looking forward to meeting all the boys and girls of Liverpool in the stunning surroundings of the magnificentGrade I listed Town Hall building.
Bigger and better than ever for Christmas 2016, Santa’s Magical Grotto sets the scene for an exciting festive season and is open each weekend from 26 November to 11 December. It will then be open daily from Friday, 16thDecember to Friday, 23rd December.
The traditional style Grotto is housed in The Crypt of the Town Hall, where children and their families will be greeted by Santa’s Elves. They can follow the Santa trail through a festive fantasy world featuring reindeers, fairytale characters, candy canes and giant gingerbread men!
Then they will get to meet the Man in the Red Suit himself and let him know what’s on their Christmas list. He will be gauging who’s naughty or nice so be on your best behaviour! Children will be presented with an early Christmas gift – especially if they’ve been good.
A professional photographer will be on-hand to capture the ultimate festive magical moment – when youngsters meet Santa.

For guaranteed entry, book your tickets in advance via Ticketquarter. Tickets are priced £8.25 and include meeting Santa Claus, a selection box and entry for two accompanying adults (£1.50 for additional adults). Tickets are available on the door priced £7.50 but queues are likely.
