Cocktail Heaven At Kingdom Liverpool
Last Saturday me and a few friends went for a night out in Liverpool and thought instead of going our usual places we would go to Kingdom for a change. Kingdom Is tucked away downstairs on Harrington Street in Liverpool city centre. It is an established and very well operated venue with fabulous décor. It attracts people of both influence and affluence. With a string of respected club nights and events already under their belt, the venue strives to give the finest nightlife employing the best DJs and club acts and also by offering a genre of music to fit all styles. Funk, soul, disco, jazz there is something available for everybody.
Being the cocktail lovers that we are we were quite happy to be able to choose from the extensive menu. There was a range of classics to modern mixology that we couldn’t wait to feast our eyes upon and the taste buds! We were privileged to get the manager Jay to be our bar tender for the night and the service was speedy, friendly and efficient. Heres a few of the ones I tried:-
Porn Star Martnin
This fabulous cocktail, which is actually two drinks in one, is fast becoming ‘ the ‘ cocktail to be seen drinking! A combination of vanilla and passionfruit makes this martini sweet but seductive.. and if that doesn’t sound desirable enough, then the large shot of sharp Champagne that is served with it to take you over the edge.
Into The Great Unknown
This cocktail had a lovely fresh clean feel to it. Perfect for anyone that likes water melon. A mixture of Bombay Saphire Gin, Watermelon juice, Watermelon liqueur, lemon juice topped up with elder flower tonic.
Rasberry Provance
Another one for you gin lovers! This felt slightly stronger to me but still went down a treat, had a sweet but sharp taste to it combining Bombay Saphire, Creme de framboise, egg white and lemon juice.
Its that Raspberry Thyme Again
Being a vodka lover this was my second fav after the Porn Star. With a mixture of Belvedere vodka, Chambord, Rasberry puree, thyme, apple juice and a hint of lemon this is one for anyone who has enjoyed a Basil Grande in their time.
Strawberrys & Caviar
This one was a little bit different it was a bed of Strawberry Caviar with Belvedere Vodka, Champagne, Creme de fraise with a dash of lemon juice.
When Louis Met Celine
Definately for all you Designer Handbag lovers! Remy Martin Coeur Cognac mixed with Mandarin Napoleon Liqueuar, passion fruit liquer, lemon juice, egg white and orange juice. Finish with Armand De Brignac Champanhe and elegantly placed with a Phantom Celine Handbag.
If any of these take your fancy they range from £9.50 – £12.00 but Kingdom also offer their very own Disco Ball Punch Balls for £125 which is perfect if there Is a group of you of up to 6 people. They also do Bath Tubs for £25 perfect if just a couple of you are out.
