Carolyn Hughes, Managing Director of CHPR, hosted her annual charity Lunch on Friday (2nd December) at GUSTO Albert Dock on the historic waterfront to support Radio City’s Cash for Kids and we had a FABULOUS day!!!
The lively lunch was hosted by Pete Price along with Radio City 2 Breakfast Presenter Simon Ross.
The lunch has become the festive ‘must attend event’ with over 250 people enjoying the day including a who’s who of Liverpool and a host of local celebrities. Over the years the event has been supported by many local celebrities including Coleen Rooney, Alex Gerrard and Nicola Carragher, Jude Cisse, Liz McLarnon, Dani Lawrence and Emmerdale actress Gillian Kearney. This year was no exception as Danielle LLoyd was there to show her support along with, celebrity stylist Lorraine McCulloch and fashion designers Philip Armstrong and Tony Burke.
After a drink on arrival we enjoyed a 3 course festive feast, before Pete Price hosted the auction, which included EFC’s Romelu Lukaku singed boots, LFC corporate hospitality courtesy of Liverpool Football Club, Gold Circle tickets for Radio City Live, a signed Paul McCartney back catalogue and other memorabilia.
The fun-packed afternoon included a visit from Father Christmas, a Mannequin challenge, a ‘Selfie with an Elfie’ competition ( which I Won!!!) a DJ and Saxophonist, a drag artist and a singer Arron Reece rounding off the afternoon with a party set of dance floor fillers.
Event organiser, Carolyn Hughes said “The lunch is the official start of the Christmas party season for many of my guests, so they come along to have a party. We had a great time and raised over £20,000 for Radio City’s Cash for Kids, who do so much to help so many children in the area. We are grateful also to Barclays and Barclaycard for their generous support’
