Looking at getting Botox??? Then I would only ever recommend  The Lip Doctor in Liverpool. This will be my 3rd year of making regular trips to these guys ( if you have read my previous posts you will know how much I love this place!) The clinic is owned and run by Dr Fab and his lovely wife Lisa Equizi who have over 12 years experience in the aesthetic field. Dr Fab is also an experienced teacher of other medical staff – doctors, dentists and nurses in advanced procedures in this specific area.

I have always had quite good skin and use the best products on the market, I train a lot in the gym and drink tonnes of water but like many I have been bit of a sun-bed user from a young age. Consequently I began to get quite a few fine lines around my eye area, not so much in day to day life but they were a lot more noticeable on photographs… So about 3 years ago I tried Botox for the first time and I have not looked back! The difference it makes is unbelievable! After a few days you can see the difference, you have a fresher, more radiant look without the fine lines that in my case I notice on photographs.

What Is Botox?
Botox is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium Botulinum bacterium. It is a non-surgical, treatment that can temporarily reduce lines caused by overexpression of certain muscles such as frown lines between the brows and crows feet. It is used in people between the ages of 18 to 65. During the treatment, very small amounts of Botulim Toxins are administered using a very tiny needle directly into the muscles that cause the expression lines. Depending upon the number of areas that need treating and the experience of the Botulim Toxin practitioner, treatments take about 10 – 20 minutes and are usually painless. No recovery time is needed and you should begin to see an improvement within 3-4 days and the results usually last up to 4 months.

The first time I came to Fab I was absolutely petrified due to having a really bad needle phobia but now I’m at ease as Dr Fab makes you feel really comfortable with the whole procedure and it is practically painless! In the past I have asked him to use numbing cream Fab assured me I would be fine and that the needles he uses are the best on the market and that he changes them after every 3 times he injects into the skin, and I didn’t even shed one tear!!

Since starting my Botox journey with the Lip Doctor 3 years ago I have recommended their practice to a lot of people and not one person has gone else where due to the level of service and professionalism.  Consultations are completely free and I can personally say he’s not in it to basically take your money, he advises you on what is best for you and would not talk you into treatments that you don’t need! Which is quite rare now a days with the current climate and industry! He takes before and after photographs so that you can see the results on the follow up visit and you can rest assure you will get the service you pay for. Besides Botox he also offers treatments for lip pumping and shaping, dermal fillers, derma pen, skin peels, Rio – blush and the ‘ Dracula ‘ face lift!
