‘The Best of Liverpool’ In Association With Live@Aloft And Liverpool Loves

 20ten Entertainment today announces the launch of the “The Best of Liverpool – Live@Aloft.” The biggest independent talent search the city has experienced, where the people of Liverpool decide who should be crowned ‘The Best of Liverpool’

The competition will showcase the best up-and-coming talent over a series of audition heats at Aloft Hotel Liverpool (North John Street, Liverpool city centre), in front of a live audience and credible judging panel.

Judges confirmed include columnist Jade Wright (Liverpool Echo), Leanne Campbell (DJ/Presenter, Radio City breakfast show), actress Alex Fletcher (Actress), TV impressionist Darren Farley and MD productions Director Miguel Doforo, with more judges to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

The judges will decide who will go through to the final at Liverpool Loves festival on Saturday 8th August 2015, in a bespoke circus Big Top structure places on the Pier Head specifically for the event, with an expected audience of around 1000 people. The competition is open for all talent, from musicians and bands to comedians and all variety acts, aged 16 years and over.

The winner and finalists will be given a platform to further their careers in entertainment with a host of local and regional entertainment agencies in attendance. The ten finalists will be named the ‘Best of Liverpool’ with the overall winner receiving a prize worth around £5000. The prize consists of the following: music video or showreel, stylist for the day, photo shoot with celebrity photographer Rachel Joseph, recording time at Parr Street studios, potential management opportunities, and PR services to help raise the performers’ profile.

Aloft hotels are all about discovering and encouraging new talent and have a history of working with artists all over the world. Aloft Liverpool recently hosted the EP launch for local band ‘All We Are’ who have since made a huge impact on the music scene.

These are two brands that encourage talent and create opportunities for people within the city and that is what Best of Liverpool is all about; creating opportunity for those who may not know where to start in the entertainment industry, giving them a platform to go on and further their careers.’

The event will also give something back to the people of the city by offering great entertainment and the chance for them to have their say on who they think should be crowned winner. The 3 heats will take place at Aloft Liverpool on Thursday 28th May, Thursday 25th June and Thursday 30th July as free events. The final on 8th August at Liverpool Loves is free to attend but visitors will be required to preregister through Eventbrite online.
