Such An Honour Becoming An Ambassador ‘ For James ‘
If you have read my previous posts earlier on in the year, you will see how what happened to James’s mum Denise and her family is something that gets me right to the core, having been in a similar situation myself. The strength and courage it takes each day to block out what you have been through and continue with day to day life for your child/children is something that can not be put into words.. so when I was asked to be involved with this charity it was an absolute honor! To try and bring some good and positivity out of what Denise and her family have been through is an amazing thing.
James Bulger will never be forgotten. He was a fun-loving, innocent little boy whose life was so cruelly taken away from him.
Millions remember with horror the terrible abduction and murder of two-year-old James, that happened in February 1993 in the Bootle and Liverpool areas of the United Kingdom.
To this day James’ Denise Fergus continues to receive messages of sympathy and support from people all over the world.
The aims and objectives of the James Bulger Memorial Trust Ltd are to benefit and support young people who are disadvantaged by reason of having become the victims of crime, hatred or bullying. To reward those who are judged to have shown exemplary conduct, making a positive contribution to the welfare of others, or society in general.
To do so by providing cost-free travel and holiday accommodation for such children and their families; along with a range of other tangible rewards, as deemed appropriate by the Trustees or their appointed representatives, and to support other organisations benefiting children in similar circumstances, as deemed appropriate by the Trustees.
This Sunday 23rd August 2015 will see the first KidsFest event take place at Stanley Park in Liverpool.
Its free entry and the perfect place to take the kids for a fun packed family day out!
I will be there along with all my fellow ambassadors, so if you see any of us come over and get some pics for our social media pages.
2015 is a special year for the charity as we mark what would of been James 25th birthday so we would like as many people to come together and raise as much money as we can to help under privileged children and families.
