Alchemist Liverpool – New Spring / Summer Menu

By  |

If you are looking for somewhere to go for a night of food and drink then I would throughly recommend The Alchemist on Brunswick Street in Liverpool. Exposed ancient brickwork, reinstated wonderful wooden floors and a touch of alchemy is what you will be in store for! Its cosy, quirky and perfect for a little date night through the week or for partying with friends of a weekend.

The drinks menu is like something out of the chemistry lab in school with the cocktails being described as ‘molecular mixology, alchemy and craftsmanship’. It was a warm sunny evening when I went so being a lover of anything minty and fresh I had to give the ‘ Mint Aero ‘ a go. With ‘Appleton Signature Rum,Briottet White Mint, Apple, Choclate, Creamy Malt’ it is definitely one to get your taste buds going! Its safe to say just one of these.. simply wasnt enough for me!!!

Here is a little pic of the menu so you can see for yourself just how amazing each cocktail sounds. Theres one thing I can assure you is that everything tastes even better!!

As well as the drinks, there’s also a wide ranging food menu, offering tapas style dishes, sandwiches, main courses and weekend brunches, as well as Sunday roasts.

I was staying out after our meal so I didnt want to feel too full so opted for the ‘Duck Spring Rolls’ that were soooooo nice and came drizzled with Hot Sin Sauce. My mum had the ‘ Sharing Platter ‘ which consisted of chicken wings, falafel, battered prawns, pork bonbons and dips. She really enjoyed hers to.

As you can see from the menu there is something for everybody and everything is reasonably priced too.

I spotted the ‘ Chocolate Brownie ‘ earlier on whilst checking the menu out so I made sure I left a little bit of room and I am so glad I did!! It was amazing!!! Now Im a huge chocolate brownie lover and I will be honest If I dont see it on the dessert menu I am always a little disappointed but this was to die for!! Warm with a little scoop of slightly melted ice cream on top with a lovely toffee sauce.

So if your looking for somewhere to go for dinner or just drinks this week its definitely a place to try and if you have been before then check out the new menu thats just launched and try a few new cocktails or dishes.
