Manchester Bierkeller Opened Its Doors With A Huge Crowd At The Printworks

Manchester’s much-awaited and extravagant Bierkeller opened last night, with over one thousand guests enjoying a warm welcome at the venue. Based in The Printworks, the new Bierkeller complex hosts four distinct bars within one entertainment complex. Part of the hugely successful chain, with established Bierkeller sites already creating a buzz in Liverpool, Leeds and Blackpool, this new Bierkeller provides an authentic Bavarian experience with the finest German beers, a Bavarian-style menu, with live music and events to keep the party going every night of the week! The Manchester Bierkeller has involved a huge investment, and it is hoped that with the creation of over 100 jobs in the complex and its capacity to attract and accommodate a large number of customers, the development will put The Printworks back on the map as the capital of entertainment.

Last night’s guests first visited the Ski Lodge on the Ground Floor of the complex, which serves apres food and drink including fondue and gluvine. It is the perfect place for a casual night with friends.

Down the stairs to the Lower Ground Floor everyone enjoyed the Austrian themed street scene and beer cellar feel that leads on to the next bar. Following on is the Around The World bar, where guests enjoyed the chance to sample a wide variety of beers and wine from around the world. This bar also has a great menu, with lots of exclusive deals to make a visit value for money as well as great fun! With a hostess to meet you, and a passport to take on your ‘travels’, partiers enjoyed the self-service beer station with its own taps. They were also treated to a great show from UkeBox, a band that regular Bierkeller fans across the region know and love.

Continuing on from ATW bar is Shooters Sports Bar with its 20HD TV screens and bespoke pool tables. Shooters is the ideal place to enjoy live sporting events, with lots of weekly food and drink deals to keep sports fans happy. Its comfy leather seating areas are sure to be a big hit on Derby day.

Finally, the Bierkeller was the place to be! With long benches surrounded by individual booths with private beer taps, and largest non-cinema screen in Manchester, revellers enjoyed the beers served in steins by staff in traditional Bavarian dress, with authentic regional food that Bierkeller is famous for and live entertainment by the Amazing Bavarian Stompers. Manchester is also the first Bierkeller to have its own Private Room adjacent to the stage, for the best views in the house. With its own luxury access, VIP menu and high-end drinks, it will surely be a hit with celebrity guests or for customers who want a real treat.

Manchester Bierkeller General Manager David Howarth says, “Last night was a great success and we had a huge turnout of invited guests. This new complex has been the most ambitious Bierkeller to date, and we are sure that the people of Manchester will come and enjoy the Bierkeller experience. With such a variety of food, drinks and entertainment all housed in one venue, there is a bar to suit everyone, whether it is for a family occasion, a great night with friends, or a get together to enjoy sporting and live events.”

Area Manager Peter Robinson says, “We have worked really hard as a team to build the Bierkeller brand in the North, and our new Manchester Bierkeller is something to be really proud of. Our guests really enjoyed our VIP party and we look forward to welcoming our new customers. Our ethos across the brands is all about enjoying great food and drink in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. We want our customer to enjoy our value deals and our live entertainment, and our promotional staff will ensure that there will always be something new and exciting happening every day.”

Fred Booth of The Printworks added, “Last night was fantastic, and the Bierkeller team have put in a lot of effort into getting this spectacular venue ready. The Bierkeller’s unique atmosphere and party spirit adds a new dimension to The Printworks, and we look forward to seeing lots of visitors from both Manchester and further afield enjoying our newest venue.”
