Living Room Food and Drink Showcase Event

By Jade   |    May 9, 2012 9:48 pm    |   Events, Food   |    2 Comments

I was kindly invited to a cocktail event at the Living Room
bar and restaurant in Liverpool last week so I decided to take my mum and
daughter along and we had a lovely night. We were greeted with some absolutely
gorgeous cocktails to try and being the cocktail lover I am I was in my element! Some new additions to the menu included The Emerald City, Scotch Bonnet, The Finishing Touch and The Mojito Martini. I really enjoyed the Mojito Martini which is a new one for me and I  can thoroughly recommend it!

There was so much variety on the menu that I was spoilt for
choice. There was a lot of new dishes available as well as some old favorites!  Being a Chinese food lover I went for the Crispy Duck and Pancakes and It
was absolutely gorgeous better than I have ever had in any Chinese restaurant
and I have been to quite a few!!!! For main course I had the Fillet Steak and
Chips with a Diane sauce and again I could not fault this, everything was cooked
to perfection and for desert I had the Basil Grande Eton Mess, which is one of
my all time fav cocktails so to have that as a desert combination I was ideal for
me!

Besides perfect food; really reasonably priced, fantastic
drinks and top quality service the atmosphere was also spot on so we will
definitely be looking forward to returning very soon.

I would also like to thank the staff for looking after us!

Dancing On Ice On Tour at the Echo Arena

By Jade   |    May 8, 2012 12:21 pm    |   Celeb Gossip, Whats hot in Liverpool   |    30 Comments

I went to see dancing on ice on Tuesday at the Liverpool echo arena and to say it was fantastic was an understatement. I was totally amazed at how unbelievable the stars skated on the ice, when you see it in real life it’s a million times better than it is watching it on the tv at home.  The celebs who took part were Liverpool’s very own trio Jennifer Ellison, Heidi Range and Jorgie Porter who were joined by Chico, 2012 champion Matthew Wolfenden, skier Chemmy Alcott, Corrie’s Andy Whyment and last year’s winner Sam Attwater.

Torvill and Dean opened the show with a dazzling performance which was then followed with a similar format of the TV programme. For the first half of the show the celebrity couples all performed and were all awarded points by the judging panel (Christopher Biggins, Robin Cousins, Karen Barber and 2007 champion Kyran Bracken)  then the audience were also given the chance to vote via text message where all the proceeds went to raise money for charity during the interval which was a really good idea I thought. In the second half of the show the professional dancers took to the ice and were absolutely fantastic, I couldn’t take my eyes off them! How fast and perfect all the moves were it was breath taking! As the show closed to an end there was a celebrity skate off, in our show it was between Jennifer Ellison and Matthew Wolfenden, It was Jens first time at performing the bolero but she done absolutely fantastic but Mat won and was crowned the winner. I would love to go and see it again.

I have just bought these absolutely gorgeous wooden blocked heeled wedges for the summer from River Island. They are definitely a must for this summer season. Perfect with a dress or with jeans. They are priced at £55 and I think they are a real bargain! Make sure you grab them while you can, because these will sell out quite quick!
